Creating A Unique Wedding Color Palette That Lets Your Personality Shine

In a world where you always see the same wedding trends pop up again and again, it’s truly a breath of fresh air to see a bit of originality!

Personally, I love it when couples select a unique wedding color palette for their big day. It’s a great way to set your wedding apart from the rest, and to show off your true style.

When Britta and Bryan came to us for help planning their wedding at The Inn at Canal Square in Lewes, DE, they had some beautiful color ideas for their wedding, but no cohesive color palette. We spent quite some time together, brainstorming color combinations and looking at pictures on Pinterest.

Finally, after much deliberation, we came up with the perfect color palette. These colors became the basis for every design decision we made, from the cake stand to the material on their custom-designed sweetheart table, and even the dance floor!

That’s how we start every wedding design at Elevee Events: we hone in on a color scheme. You may have your heart set on a popular palette, such as a traditional navy and white nautical pairing. Add a pop of spring green and you suddenly have a totally different (and totally unique!) vibe.

Take the ever-popular teal and coral that you see at almost every beach wedding, add soft yellows or bright oranges, and the entire wedding is suddenly filled with richness and depth. Sprinkle a bit of forest & sage greens in your blush and gold wedding décor with gorgeous rows garland laid across dinner tables.

If you’re looking for a bit of inspiration to find your perfect wedding color palette, we can help! Take a look at our most recent blog post on the subject, in which we review Pantone’s top picks for fall 2016 wedding colors. You’ll be surprised by the combinations you can come up with!

Whatever you are envisioning for your big day, we want to help you take it to the next level.
