Why You Absolutely Need A Wedding Video

According to recent data, wedding highlight videos are “hot!” There is 8% uptick in requests for wedding video over the previous year, and I see no reason that will slow down.

Let’s face it – YouTube is the largest search engine in the world. We all know that people respond to videos in such an emotional way. Why would you not want to capture one of the most important days of your life on film to look back on forever?

Jason Belkov, owner of Aircam Productions, says, “You always hear pictures speak 1000 words…..but video, capturing peoples facial expressions and emotions, is priceless.”

One of Cinemavericks recently wedded brides, Jill Foster, told us this:

“When planning my wedding, I never imagined the amount of details and decisions that it actually required in order to make my vision come to life.

One of the details I felt (at the time) did not matter to me was choosing and hiring a videographer. Hiring a photographer is almost automatic in the planning process, but oftentimes…hiring a videographer is overlooked or skipped.

I ended up hiring Cinemavericks Media to compile our wedding video because my family was insistent (especially my mother), and I am so happy I did.

Our wedding video is my most prized possession from that day. Having a video, and being able to hear the raw emotions in our voices during our vows and throughout the entire day is priceless.

Videographers capture feelings, sounds, memories, and emotions in a completely unique way. If I had to do it all over again, saying “yes” to a videographer would be as easy as saying “I do” to my groom.”

As I work with couples, I always make sure that I’m asking them about film from the very beginning of their planning process. I want them to know my personal feeling about the matter: a wedding videographer is one of the most important vendors they can work with. I don’t want them to overlook this service!

I asked Jason Belkov what he normally says to couples that aren’t sure if they want to hire a videographer for their wedding. He says, “For me it would be regret. I would never be able to live with the regret that I didn’t spend the money. It’s the one wedding day of your life…..how can you not justify video for that?

“Additionally videographers are getting better and better at capturing a wedding and turning it into a mini cinematic movie. Then there is technology…with drones, steady cams, extreme slow motion capabilities. Video quality is better than ever! We now have all the tools of a Hollywood movie at our disposal.” Belkov remarked.

As a wedding planner, I can tell you that the films I am privy to see draw at my heart strings like no other media. As a newly engaged bride I can also tell you it was one of the very first things I secured and booked for my wedding!
